As we build relationships with the longterm homeless, we walk with people through a five-step approach that often takes 1-3 years.

It’s a process that leads toward whole person restoration.

Step 3: ROOT CAUSE

Step 3: ROOT CAUSE

The third step in our 5-step process in walking alongside those experiencing homelessness is ROOT CAUSE. During the Root Cause phase, we address the deeper, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. The homeless individual commits to working on their deeper needs as we do a life plan with them and help them reach their goals.

The second step in our 5-step process in walking alongside those experiencing homelessness is FRIENDSHIP. During the Friendship Phase, we seek to be a person of safety, to spend quality time with those we've built trust with, and to listen to them without trying to fix anything.

The first step in our 5-step process in walking alongside those experiencing homelessness is to build TRUST. In order to build trust, it's important to show up, be a person of your word, be relational (not transactional), and be vulnerable.
