Relationships | Streets | Storytelling
Full-time, 40 hours per week

 Our Mission & Motivation

The Human Impact exists to befriend the homeless and bridge the relationship gap to change lives.  We follow Jesus to “His poor” (Mother Teresa). We see God using His power to defend the cause of the vulnerable, marginalized, and oppressed. We want to join Him in this work-using our resources, network, and gifts to care for those He loves.

The Job

You are the voice of The Human Impact, connecting those on the streets with those who wish to serve the marginalized and homeless. Through your eyes and pen you bear witness, engaging the hearts of the outside world with those in need. You are a storyteller who creates possibility through stories of hope for the future, and hope realized. You minister and report the connections made between those who are homeless and those who are not. You yourself care deeply for the homeless, thrive in hands-on care, and wish to see their stories told to humanize this often-misunderstood group of people. You engage volunteers and share their stories of impact as well, watching how they create connection and foster development with those we serve. You believe the world is a better place when we come together—across race, age, political affiliation, and other divisions; and you see story—visual, graphic, written, and otherwise—as a universal means of connecting people. You will be on the streets and caring for the homeless, capturing stories as you go, and translating them to our social media platforms and website. You will also care for the formerly-homeless and follow our friends as they transition off of the streets. You have a big heart and vibrant eye and can't help but see stories wherever you go.
