On Thursday mornings,  a group comprised of our staff and both housed and unhoused friends, walk the streets near our offices, south of Downtown Dallas. It’s a simple and easy way to serve our community, make connections with the people we share it with, and learn about the experiences of others. We don’t bring anything but ourselves. If you look someone in the eye who you might have looked away from before, if you learn someone’s name, if you get or give a smile, then you’ve accomplished all that we ask of our streets time volunteers!
